Sarah graduated from Western Michigan University with a B.S. in Exercise Science and a Minor in both Biology and Business. While at Western Michigan University Sarah was a starting forward for the Bronco’s Soccer team. She is currently certified with A.C.E (American Council on Exercise) as a Personal Trainer. She specializes in all areas of fitness including weight loss, strength and muscle building, marathon training and injury rehabilitation. However, her passion is training athletes and developing sport specific programs to help optimize performance. Sarah has been Personal Training since 2003 and has experience teaching classes such as body sculpting, spin, boot camp, and running clubs.
Running Program Participate in the inaugural year of the FFC Running Club. Program includes weekday run, weekly email with running tips and recommended races, and discounts on purchases at select running specialty stores. This program is for all levels. Weekday run will range from 4 – 6 miles. Program meets every Wednesday at 6pm in the lobby of East Lakeview. Attention all East Lakeview cycling enthusiasts! This program includes weekly lakefront rides, group participation in city races, and monthly meetings to demonstrate bike maintenance. Want to try Pilates equipment training but afraid to ask? The Reformer is the predominant piece of Pilates apparatus, designed to uniformly lengthen the body with gentle resistance. Because the reformer is spring loaded, it is gentle to the joints and can accommodate any body. Classes meet once a week for 8 weeks. If your core is weak, then your body compensates by using muscles inappropriately. This can lead to tendonitis injuries or place your body in poor alignment, setting you up for knee, back, and hip pain.
