Lose to Win 2010


Join the FFC weight loss challenge that will begin January 4th. Program includes weekly weight loss activities, discounts of fitness services for a competitive edge, and weekly raffle prizes. Each male and female club winner will win a “Lose to Win 2010 Champion” shirt and be entered into a grand prize raffle. One FFC male and female member will win a year of Personal Training or Pilates Training. Contact your Fitness Director for directions on registration.


11th Annual Fitness Formula Clubs Indoor Triathlon Series


Participate in the Chicago’s Largest Indoor Triathlon Series. Our indoor triathlon consists of a 15 minute swim, 20 minute bike, and 15 minute run. Total mileage accumulated is ranked to determine your place. Waves begin at 8:00am and proceed every 25 minutes. Register at www.ffc.com/triathlon or at your home club. Event dates this year are Saturday, January 23rd at FFC Oak Park, Saturday, February 13th at FFC Gold Coast, Saturday, March 6th at FFC Union Station, and Saturday, March 27th at FFC East Lakeview.


Get your Scuba Certification with Divemax Diving School!


Enjoy your next vacation scuba diving. Earn your certification by completing your basic classroom training, pool skills, and five open water dives (in the pool). Reserve a spot at one of the upcoming orientations by e-mailing captdarrick@divemaxscuba.com. Fee: $250.

Kids Brazilian Jiu Jitsu

With Type II Diabetes on the rise with our nation's youth, what better time to get our children involved in a fitness program? Carlson Gracie Brazilian Jiu Jitsu has long been known as the name in Jiu Jitsu and we have now expanded to children! They will learn self defense, get a great workout and learn invaluable life skills in a fun environment! Muay Thai

In addition to our Brazilian Jiu Jitsu program, FFC Old Town also offers Muay Thai Kickboxing! Muay Thai has been a staple martial art in Thailand for centuries and has been ablaze in the United States in the past decade. Turning up the Intensity – Kickbox Style!

Kickboxing classes can be a great alternative for people who may need to change it up a bit from their usual elliptical or treadmill routines. Class involves a combination of aerobic movements, boxing and martial arts. It's intense – you will burn calories – and this total body workout can improve strength, cardiovascular fitness, flexibility, coordination and balance. Start your new year with a kick, jab and punch!

Evening Yoga – Kerri Returns

FFC Yoga Instructor Kerri Noto returns from six months of travel with Kashi Whole Grains company for their "Day of Change Tour" where she promoted health and well being across the country. Join Kerri for a multi-level yoga practice that's geared toward inner and outer strength and rejuvenating the mind and body.
